The prestigious Superbrands Singapore Awards Ceremony 2024 celebrating Singapore's favourite brands, as voted my Singapore consumers, took place on November 12 at the iconic PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore

Singapore, November 13, 2024 – The prestigious Superbrands Singapore Awards Ceremony 2024 took place on November 12 at the iconic PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore. The exclusive event, which brought together nearly 100 distinguished guests representing nearly 30 of Singapore’s most respected brands, celebrated excellence in branding across a diverse range of industries.

The Superbrands Awards is Singapore's leading and most trusted brand recognition programme, honouring the top brands that have earned the admiration, trust and loyalty of consumers. Known for its independent consumer survey methodology, Superbrands selects awardees based on the strength of their brand reputation, market leadership, and consumer perception. The programme is by invitation-only, ensuring that only Singapore’s favourite brands are recognised.

This year’s event showcased an impressive lineup of award-winning brands from a wide spectrum of sectors, including electronics, retail, education, utilities, and health & wellness. Recognised brands included:

  • LG Electronics (Consumer Electronics)

  • Sheng Siong (Retail)

  • Hockhua (Health & Wellness)

  • MindChamps (Education)

  • City Energy (Utilities)

  • Extra Space Asia (Storage Services)

  • Ocean Health (Health & Wellness)

  • New York Skin Solutions (Beauty & Wellness)

Among the notable highlights of this year’s ceremony was the introduction of a new category for Theme Parks and Attractions, with Gardens by the Bay being an inaugural recipient. The event also celebrated Perrier and Carlsberg, two established beverage brands that not only achieved their Superbrands status but also delighted guests by serving their refreshing products during the ceremony.

The awards are the result of an independent survey conducted by the research agency BVA-BDRC, which polls consumers across Singapore to identify the most favourite and trusted brands in the market. Only those brands that receive a sufficient number of consumer votes are granted membership into this exclusive group.

In his address, Mark Pointer, CEO of Superbrands Singapore, remarked on the significance of the event and the continued success of the Superbrands programme in Singapore:

"This year’s Superbrands Awards Ceremony marks yet another milestone in the recognition of Singapore’s most iconic and trusted brands. We are proud to celebrate the achievements of this year’s awardees, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and resilience in an ever-evolving marketplace. These brands have not only earned the respect of their customers but have also contributed to shaping the future of business in Singapore. Congratulations to all our award winners, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in the years ahead."

Superbrands has long been the benchmark for brand excellence in Singapore, and this year’s event further solidified its position as the leading programme for recognising the power of branding in the region.

Globe does not allow any customer to use an unregistered SIM. Under its current system, a new SIM is only activated once registered through Globe’s SIM registration platforms. “We designed our SIM Registration system in such a way that no SIM can be used on the network unless registered. Therefore, all active SIMs within our network are in our system. Even as we continue to enhance our SIM registration platform, we already have measures in place that defend against the illegal use of unregistered SIMs,” said Darius Delgado, Globe Vice President and Head of Consumer Mobile Business. Globe currently has 58.8 million mobile subscribers. Following the registration period from December 27, 2022 to July 30, 2023, which covered SIMs already in use before passage of the law, Globe deactivated over 30 million unregistered SIMs. Since
